Kids Car Seat
One of the chief causes of injuries or death of children in automobile is the
lack of proper restraints. This means that the car either lacked a car seat,
or the car seat was not properly installed or fitted.
All 50 states currently have some kind of Car Seat law covering the first 18
months. Some states require car seats until age 3, and a few require
booster seats until the child reaches a certain weight. Check your
state's requirements.
Correct installation is the key to proper functioning. Many states let
you have the car or booster seat inspected at police or fire stations
for proper installation.
There are several car or booster seat types.
. Infant Baby Car Seat 5-20 lbs (for newborn - under 20lbs)
. Convertible Baby Car Seat 5-40lbs (for either newborn or toddler - up to 30-40lbs)
. Kids Booster Seat to 80 lbs (40-80lbs – depending on the make)
Decide what your childs needs are when choosing a car or booster seat.
